The colors of white light

Looking back at past memories: a live recording from 2015

"White light is composed of all the visible colors in the electromagnetic spectrum."

Such a rich diversity of millions of colors, all different from each other, are able to unite in the magnificent light of the sun. That unity is by no means a monolithic, bland conformity---the sunlight contains each and every individual color and each one is granted its unique voice. This piece of music celebrates the beauty of this light and its many colors.1

This is a live recording from nearly ten years ago (due to logistic reasons, the microphone placement wasn't completely ideal, but the concert hall nevertheless had a very excellent piano), where I played clarinet and piano---sometimes even simultaneously, e.g. by using only the left hand to play the clarinet melody in order to have the right hand available for the piano…
